Country Quilts and Decor is the result of my never-ending obsession with making quilts. My obsession with quilting began in the mid-1980's and I opened my first web store in 1998 under the name of Rose Leaf Sewing Company. From the late 90's until 2010, my online store sold aprons and custom sized aprons, simple drapery solutions, decorative pillows, sofa throws, quilts, quilted placemats, and a host of other handmade items.

My store closed for about two years while I went back to college and earned a master's degree after which, I reopened a web store under the name of The Apron Shop Online. After deciding that I was addicted to quilting, I opened Country Quilts in 2019 in an effort to sell some of my creations. I still have The Apron Shop Online at Etsy as well as a part of the Country Quilts site.

I have been selling on the Internet for many years, but things have changed and sometimes (we) old dogs have a harder time learning new tricks. Thousands of web stores sell similar products imported from other countries.  I make all my products in the U.S. Nothing comes from overseas.

I offer quilting lessons in my studio if you live in the area and want to learn to quilt or have a group that would like to learn (i.e. Girl Scouts, 4H, etc.). Call to set up a date and time.

I have a lot of inventory to add, so please be patient while I continue to build the store. If you have questions about an item, please reach out to me by email (countryquiltsanddecor@gmail.com) or phone (805-584-6381). If I do not answer, it usually means I am sewing with the headset on listening to my favorite tunes. Leave a message and I will get back with you as soon as possible.

My in-home studio is located in southern California where all my products will ship from; please allow for shipping time when ordering time-sensitive gifts. I use USPS Priority Mail with tracking inside the U.S. 48.

Thank you for visiting my shop.

Love, Kate
